Your steps falter
As you walk to sea
Your debt is paid
Go on — breathe free.
You seek ashore
You seek anew
The old as lost
As forgotten hew
Whose earthy scent
No longer pleases
As heather burns
And moonlight freezes;
The flame goes out
The fragrance dies
You’ve found your shore
The past was lies.
